Al Gore – An Inconvenient Truth

Al Gore Kristin and I headed over to Landmark Theatre on E Street to catch An Inconvenient Truth after work yesterday evening. After the viewing, Al Gore gave a 45 minute Q&A regarding the film, his next moves and how he felt the issue of global warming was being received.

I had my hand up most of the time but didn’t get a chance to speak to Mr. Gore. I was a bit nervous, maybe it wasn’t entirely a bad thing that he didn’t call on me.

My thoughts were media centered. What happens to An Inconvenient Truth next? What will he do next with his message in the media?

Here are a few of the ideas I wanted to share with Mr. Gore:

-Allow folks with camcorders into theatres once the movie has met it’s initial investment mark

-Allow pirating of the film through such websites as The Pirate Bay and p2p networks

-Upload the movie to the Internet Archive, YouTube and Google Video for free distribution

-Place the movie for download on iTunes, with all proceeds going toward the furthering of this message

-Integrate the message into Second Life with a virutal festival

I wish Mr. Gore, as well as all of us, luck in the spreading of his message.
