Hmm. Seems like quite the number, is this normal?
A week ago it was 16! (via TalkingPointsMemo.com)
The new Gallup poll shows the national Democratic race might be really tightening — Hillary’s lead is down to the single digits. Here are the numbers, compared to their last poll from two days ago:
- Clinton 42% (-2)
- Obama 36% (+3)
- Edwards 12% (-2)
From an article in The Nation:
“I stand here today with a great deal of humility,” Senator Obama began.
Considering that Mount Rushmore of Kennedy faces arrayed behind him, it is no wonder. And on February 5, it may be difficult for even the Kennedy-haters in the electorate to put aside the image of the lanky young Senator from Illinois, graciously accepting the mantle of the Democratic Party’s most revered members.

My sister and I are big fans of the Two Hands World Shop, started by friends of ours that I met in Peace Corps. Check ‘em out for Valentine’s Day, it’s better than the traditional stuff you can get from the bigger retail giants.
My sister actually wrote a bit on the store yesterday.
Last year, in the middle of a fight with my brother, in the middle of a blizzard, I tromped over to his house with doughnuts and a candleholder from a friend’s fair trade shop. I invited him to dinner and by the end of the night, I’d almost forgotten why we were fighting. It might not have been the traditional goal of the day, but it made me happy.
This year, well, I don’t know, but I’ll keep my friend’s store in mind. I love to give. Besides, I might want to end a fight and help save the world while I’m doing it. A gift that keeps on giving.
For a 10% discount at Two Hands Worldshop, use code FTTHWP during checkout.

It’s imaginary money. If you could write fiction with money instead of words.
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
I saw this on Reddit today -
“America is not at war, the Marines are at war, America is at the mall.”
